When I first landed at Dubai Airport a few months ago, the first question on my mind was how much a taxi fare would be in Dubai. As I stepped out of the airport, a Red Hat taxi appeared, but without speaking to the driver, I decided that it was important to first understand the UAE taxi fare per kilometer. That was the moment I decided to compare taxi fares across all cities in the UAE and create a taxi fare calculator. Today, in this article, I will not only tell you the taxi rates in each city but also share my personal experiences and tips on how to use an online taxi fare calculator.

How to use our Taxi Fare Calculator?
When I first used the RTA taxi fare calculator, I was amazed at how easy it was to find the correct fare for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Our calculator works similarly:
- Select a city: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ajman.
- Select a vehicle type: Standard Taxi, Luxury Sedan, or SUV.
- Enter the locations: Pickup Location and Drop Off Address.
- Distance and Time: Distance (KM) in kilometers and time of day/night.
- Press the Calculate Fare button: and in a few seconds, the full taxi fare will be in front of you!
For example, if you want to find out the Dubai to Sharjah taxi fare, simply enter the distance of 35 KM and select Dubai in the City and Sharjah in the Drop Off field. The calculator will immediately give you a fare between 80-95 AED (including the night surcharge).
