When it comes to wedding cards, attention to detail is non-negotiable. Dates, names, and spellings are checked, rechecked, and then checked again by a concerned aunt or two. Yet, now and then, a glorious blunder slips through, much to the delight of the internet.

A wedding invitation has recently gone viral, not for its lavish design or poetic flourishes, but for an unintended foray into time travel. Shared by Instagram user Ashish Kumar (@aashish_kumar_up31), the card boldly declares that the baraat will depart on April 21, 2025 and return on February 22, 2025; a full two months before it even left.

Back To The Future: ‘Baraat’ Edition

The date mix-up, presumably a result of a copy-paste catastrophe, has left social media users howling with laughter. While some speculate that “February” was printed instead of “April”, others have fully embraced the concept of reverse weddings.

“This baraat clearly has a reverse gear,” one user joked. Another commented, “They must be using a time machine with express delivery.”

It remains unclear whether the time-travelling typo appears on all printed cards or was simply a rogue proof copy. Either way, the mistake has become the life of the (virtual) party. With captions like “Wedding in April, divorce in February?” doing the rounds, it’s safe to say the couple’s big day is already unforgettable but for reasons they may not have planned.

The comments section has turned into a mini stand-up set where one user quipped, “They must own a machine that runs backwards.”, while another user offered a more practical theory: “Classic copy-paste mistake – forgot to change the month.”

Moral of the story? Check your wedding card like your future depends on it. Because in this case, the baraat might already be back before it leaves!
